In terms of dry mass, ants and humans are the dominant animals on land. Ants and humans are the only organisms to keep cattle, grow crops, go to war, embark on expeditions and shift vast quantities of soil. After describing ants in general, Tim King will discuss their senses, intellectual ability and decision-making methods. In comparison, humans are sometimes found wanting. Perhaps we could learn something from ants about how best to organise our lives? Suitable for 13+.
